The Wild Wind

A novel that describes with eloquence the collision of two opposing cultures during a turbulent time in Maui’s past. Lucia Grey is seeking solitude after a failed marriage, but finds a society undergoing dramatic cultural and social changes instead. She begins a new relationship with a Hawaiian man named Kaupena in which she must learn to reconcile her desires with society’s social mores and find a way to compromise in which both Hawaiian and Caucasian values can co-exist.
